The EduLink app, from the SMS to signing in
One EduLink app works for every region. Below is exactly what a student sees the first time: the activation SMS, the loading screen, and the sign-in screen. Press Play to run through it, or pick a step. The phone number and code are examples.
How to get it during the pilot
Pilot testers
The app is shared with invited testers through Firebase App Distribution. You get an email invite, install the Firebase App Tester app, and install EduLink from there.
Google Play
A Play Store listing comes after the pilot. When it is live, the activation page in your phone's browser shows an "Open in the EduLink app" button.
No app? Use the browser
Everything works in the browser too. Open the link from your SMS, or go to your region's address, for example dire.edulinkschool.com.
The app only connects to official EduLink regions built into it. Never type your password into a page you reached from a link you don't trust.
When something is different
Two screens most students won't see during the pilot.
For your safety the app only connects to official EduLink regions. Use the link from your school's SMS, or ask your school which region to choose.
A link to an unknown server
Any link naming a server outside the app's list is refused before anything is sent to it.
Pick the region your school belongs to. Your account lives on that region's EduLink server.
Choosing a region
Appears only once the app lists two or more regions. With Dire Dawa alone, the app skips straight to sign-in.
